He continues to turn away police investigators, but Tiger Woods issued a statement on his website today about his "embarrassing" car crash early Friday morning. As you might expect, Tiger's statement failed to clear up any questions about the scrutinized, bizarre, middle of the night accident outside his Florida estate.

This situation is my fault, and its embarrassing to my family and me, Woods said. Im human and Im not perfect. I will make sure this doesnt happen again.
Although I understand there is curiosity, the many false, unfounded and malicious rumors that are currently circulating about my family and me are irresponsible.
"My wife, Elin, acted courageously when she saw I was hurt and in trouble. She was the first person to help me. Any other assertion is absolutely false.
The only person responsible for the accident is me."

The statement came today after Woods attorney told the Florida Highway Patrol that for the third straight day Tiger would be unavailable to talk to state troopers.
Woods concluded his statement by saying the car crash was a private matter, and he intended to keep it that way. Left unanswered were the following questions:
What he was going leaving his home at that time of the night, and how did he lose control of his SUV at such a speed that its airbags didnt deploy? Why would Tiger's wife smash the back windows of his Cadillac Escalade to free him, as she told the cops, if all the SUV's doors were functional? If it was a careless mistake, as Woods' statement suggests, why not speak to police and why was he talking the next day about a Kobe special? If his facial injuries were caused by the crash, why was there no blood in the car? Were the cuts actually sustained during a fight with Elin Woods?
