Taylor Swift Wins Artist of the Year Award at American Music Awards
Taylor Swift (19) won the Artist of the Year Award at the American Music Awards (AMAs) beating out Michael Jackson. Taylor said in her acceptance speech: "I just want to say, music has never been ultimately about competition, and to even be mentioned in a category with Michael Jackson, who we will miss and love forever, is an unimaginable honor."
"I just want to say, Im sending my love to the Jackson family, and Janet, for reaching out to me the way that you have."
"Its the fans. You have given me so much to be thankful for this Thanksgiving, and I hope you guys have an awesome Thanksgiving."
Taylor won five AMAs total tonight, including the most prestigious Artist of the Year award, after being nominated for six awards.
Im starting to wonder if this will be the best year ever in Swifts career. This would be a tough year for anyone to top. I hope this is only the start of a talented career for Taylor Swift.
