Gearing up for another day on the Broadway stage, Ashlee Simpson was spotted leaving her apartment in New York City on Thursday morning (December 31) . The former Melrose Place actress was looking stylish in a wintertime ensemble with a matching derby hat as she headed over to the Ambassador Theatre.

Portraying Roxie Hart in the hit musical, Miss Simpson was slated to perform an early New Years Eve show at 3PM before getting a day off for the New Years holiday.
Having a blast with her performance duties, the 25 year old recently tweeted: Got to say being apart of this show and with such an amazing cast is just AWESOME! Its such a fun show to be apart of and such a family!
