Kelis Wins Big in Court Against Nas
Singer Kelis aka Kelis Rogers gave birth on Wednesday night to a baby boy named Knight. The father is rapper Nas aka Nasir Jones. At a time when most new parents would be over the moon with joy, this particular couple is entangled in a bitter divorce battle.

Yesterday Nas went to court and was ordered by a Los Angeles judge to pay Kelis $40,000 a month for spousal and child support; $30,471 monthly in spousal support and $9,027 in child support.
In addition, the rapper must pay $45,000 to cover Kelis legal fees and other costs that have mounted because of the split.
The couple married back in 2003. Jones is fighting the court ruling and his legal team has already arranged a hear for September 8th to contest the court order.
