Jude Law Makes Sure Heath Ledger Scholarship Endures
After Heath Ledger's sudden passing, Jude Law famously stepped in to help fill in for the late actor, who was in the midst of filming The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus. Now, Jude's picking up the torch for Heath once again, by offering to judge a scholarship competition created in Ledger's memory.

Of his new role, Jude says, "I am delighted and honored to do what I can to keep Heath's legacy alive. He was a brilliant actor and a wonderful man and it is only fitting that this scholarship has been developed in his name." This year's finalists will be made public in February of next year.
The Australins in Film Heath Ledger Scholarship was founded to help budding Australian actors pursue their dream of working in the United States. Last year's award went to Oliver Ackland, who received $10,000 as well as return airfare from Australia on the Quantas airline.
