An on-screen dedication at the beginning of a screening for the film reads, "A film from Heath Ledger and friends," serves as a reminder of the late actor's contribution to the film, in light of his sudden passing in January 2008.

When talking with press, Terry revealed, "There was irony throughout this film and there was even more irony post Heath's death. I hope he would be pleased with it. I think he would be."
