David Wright aka Speedballs, plays third base for the New York Mets. He received a concussion on August 15 after he was hit in the head with a 94 mph fastball by San Francisco Giants pitcher Matt Cain. That wont stop the four year All Star from playingbut he will be sporting an over sized helmet.

The 26 year old is test driving a new S100 Rawlings helmet that is engineered to provide additional protection against another concussion. He was trying out the new topper in Denver against the Colorado Rockies and got a fair amount of ribbing from his teammates.
He had this to say: I think there just needs to be some adjustments. Obviously, I dont really care what I look like. If it provides a little more safety, then Im all for it. Theres just times when it can fit a little better.
Jimmy Kimmel said he looks like the bobble head version of himself. He got some laughs when he made a comparison between the MLB player and the Great Gazoo, the tiny green floating alien on The Flintstones.[source:BittenBound.com]
