Posted on 29. Mar, 2009 by CSS in Entertainment, FIRED!, Ouch! Kelly Rowland has reportedly been dropped by her record label just two months after firing former manager Mathew Knowles. Despite the fact that her first two solo albums sold more than four million copies, the Dilemma singer has been dumped from Columbia Records because company bosses believe she is no longer commercially viable as an artist.

Kelly Rowland shot to fame in 1997 as part of the R&B group Destinys Child. The Houston, TX native released her first solo album, Simply Deep, in 2002. It was commercial flop. The LP was followed up by Ms. Kelly in 2008.

Ouch! I have always thought that Kelly is extremely talented but could never stand outside Beyonces shadow. Its a shame that Columbia canned her but maybe the saying will hold true for her, when one door closes another one opens!
