NBA star Charles Barkley and R&B diva Alicia Keys kicked off the first Saturday Night Live performance of the new decade. Barkley donned a wig and played Keys and did a sketch where he was perfecting his golf swing.

Other skits included a David Paterson spoof and a Yemen Press Conference. Keys did a booty call short and performed a version of her hit Empire State of Mind.
